FIA COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENTS
In 2021, The FIA will continue to be dedicated to the ongoing development of the highest standards of safety training, equipment and operational competency of all persons working in the formwork industry and build on its achievements to date.
Here's a reminder of what the FIA community have achieved this past year, by coming together and demonstrating their commitment to improved safety and standards within the Australian Formwork Industry.
Being an FIA member shows you are serious about your workers safety and the safety within the industry. It demonstrates your commitment, Formwork expertise and ethical standards to your future employees and of course to your clients and the principal contractors you work for. It further demonstrates your organisation’s commitment to continually building your own and workers safety expertise and your professional network.
The FIA believe in sharing Formwork and safety knowledge. As such we have created a ‘knowledge channel’ for members to access the latest safety videos, articles and important documents to make sure their members and their workers are a step ahead of the rest. Our Partner program also enable members to access a number of money saving offers, designed to recoup the cost of membership.
Safework NSW is working closely with FIA in NSW to deliver better health, safety and wellbeing outcomes to the Formwork Industry.
Tracey Cook, who has been working on behalf of SafeWork NSW with the formwork and greater construction industry on concrete construction services for the past 3 years, believes that “by working together with all our strategic partners to educate and guide the industry we have a real chance at embedding safety into the landscape of the formwork industry and making it safer for all formworkers.”
